We met the strict criteria for approval
In order to be listed as a provider, a company must go through a complex approval process. Firstly, it must meet the predefined criteria for inclusion in the catalogue, then it must accept the contractual terms and conditions required of the provider by the public authority applying to use the eGovernment cloud. The authorities will further classify the companies into security tiers, according to which the level of security will be required from the companies. The criteria serve as a quality and security level check. One of the specific requirements is, for example, the location of all cloud centres in the Czech Republic. When working with data, information does not leave the border of our country. We have proved the quality of our cloud and its relevance for use by state authorities.
Benefits of eGovernment cloud for the state and citizens
The digitalisation of the state has been talked about for a long time and is one of the important items on the agenda of some political parties. Digitalization is beneficial for the state in general and for individual citizens. According to the estimates of the report of the National Office for Cyber and Information Security (NUCS), the total annual costs for the operation of IS of public administration bodies range between CZK 6.5-15.8 billion per year. According to information on foreign implementations of the state cloud, the estimated savings are around 20% from replacing individual IS systems with the eGovernment cloud. The annual savings from the use of state cloud computing could reach several billion crowns.
Apart from the benefits of the state savings, the biggest advantage for citizens themselves will be simple, fast and transparent communication with the authorities, where only an internet connection will be needed to handle all duties. And there are many different applications and compulsory registrations. The citizen could have these authorities in one place:

In addition to all the duties at these offices, it would be possible to pay and register offences through the state cloud, deal with planning and building procedures or, if necessary, to legitimise and prove the conformity of a copy.
