Audioportal mujRozhlas.cz in the cloud environment

Czech Radio operates 22 stations and foreign broadcasts, and its programmes are regularly available for online listening on the mujRozhlas.cz audio portal. With the growing number of programmes and listeners, the whole system is very demanding in terms of the required performance and its constant changes. Running from our own servers would not only require high investments in infrastructure and its maintenance, but also difficulties and inefficiencies associated with its continuous expansion.

What solutions have we provided as part of our cooperation?

We provided a cloud-based solution based on Algotech's own data centre. We first moved the most performance-intensive websites from the original cloud environment. The application interface was then gradually moved to the new virtual environment. Newly created applications and services are already being tested and commissioned directly in the new virtual environment as required.

What is the state of our cooperation right now?

Thanks to the new cloud solution, Czech Radio has saved money on performance and connectivity compared to the original environment and gained more power for the smooth operation of its Internet projects, especially the mujRozhlas.cz project. With a growing listener base, it is then possible to increase performance flexibly and, thanks to the cloud solution, the application can be upgraded and modified more quickly in parallel with the operation.
